What are the best ways to advertise my new social network website for free or very low cost?
My business partner and myself are getting ready to launch our new social network website and we are wondering how to get the word out so people will check us out. We are on a very tight budget. Any help would be appreciated.

So Again, have a tight niche (target your community to a specific type of people. Avoid being too general.)

Why don't you start by reading myspace or facebook bios it explains it all. It wasn't just an overnight success it took a while and they had some help a long the way to make this all possible.

Did you build the social site or had someone working on it because maintenance is hard work and so is set up. You should have enough to promote somewhat, but to do all that and be cheap sounds strange and kinda foolish because marketing is the world. Hard work gets reward (supposedly, who knows nowadays). Its just all extremely overrated and needs to relax a bit
