How do you get people to follow you on twitter?

I am wanting to get at least 100 random followers on my twitter account in a week. Does anyone have any tips?

Has anyone of your friends got a big fan base? If so ask them to mention you on his/hers tweets.

I learnt this in media the other day. It's about opinion leaders and how if your friend had a big fan base because people thinks he/she is cool then if she mentions you because he/she is so popular they will sort of give their fans an opinion of someone without them knowing the other person.

You could start doing funny blogs or really interesting and honest views become your own little journalist

Twitter is some thing very special due to its vast spread and acceptance world wide. If you need the healthy follower then you have to be very active on it.
