If you are following celebrities on twitter do you have to wait for them to accept you before you can send them a direct message?

No, the person you sent it to will not see it if they have a private account.

they set up their accounts so you can direct measge them they do this so its fair your just gonna have to reply to them until they notice you sorry

if you follow them,automatically ur in their followers list unless their profile is private and choose to accept manually.but if ur already a follower u can send direct message.
