No one here can tell you how much financial aid you will qualify for.

Federal student aid is dependent upon your parents' Federal income tax adjusted gross income (AGI) and the formula used by the Dept. of Education when you complete and submit your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid - http://www.fafsa.ed.gov )

You can use the FAFSA4Caster to get an idea of the Federal student aid you may qualify for:
* https://fafsa.ed.gov/FAFSA/app/f4cForm?execution=e1s1

Learn a bit about Federal student aid here:
* http://studentaid.ed.gov/PORTALSWebApp/s...ing.jsp#01
Also, talk with a high school counselor to learn about the ins and outs of financial aid for college/university (grants, loans, and scholarships.) There may be scholarships from local organizations from students graduating from your high school. A HS counselor will know about them.

Your state may offer grant funds for students from low income households. Also the college/univ. which you attend may also offer funds for students from low income households. Plus, many colleges/universities have scholarship funds available to qualified students who enroll with them. Look on the Financial Aid web pages of the schools that interest you.

Visit your local public library and ask a reference librarian to help you find these books to check out, read and gather some tips:

Title: The College Solution: A Guide for Everyone Looking for the Right School at the Right Price (2nd edition)
Author: Lynn O'Shaughnessy
Publisher: FT Press, 2012

Title: Peterson's how to get money for college: financing your future beyond federal aid, 2011
Publisher: Lawrenceville, N.J.: Peterson's, 2010
Updated and published annually

Look for scholarships for which you may qualify/to which you may wish to apply with what I think is the best, most reliable database: Scholarship Search offered by the well-respected College Board:
* https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/scholarship-search
Click on the Start button.
If you choose to register (free – registration is not required to use Scholarship Search) to return later & modify your search strategy, feel secure that you will not receive spam emails. Don't select too many defining terms in your search strategy, which may result in a poor scholarship search result.

Also try the social website CollegeNet Mach25 Scholarship Search database:
* http://www.collegenet.com/mach25/app
There is no registration requirement. If you use the Profile Search option, don't include a large number of Misc. identifiers or you may have an unsuccessful search result. I think the Keyword Search option is the easiest. Scholarships specific to particular colleges/universities are included in the Mach25 database.

You will need to read the scholarship focus in each search result and go to the scholarship granting organization web pages to learn more about qualifying and applying if you meet the requirements.

Have your made the application? Have your parents signed it? Start doing this. It all depends and you can find out after you have applied. Start at your community college if you have to.
