What success strategies will you use to market yourself?

What success strategies will you use to market yourself? If you have marketed yourself in the past what strategies have you used? Would you have marketed your strategies differently?

By marketing myself I assume you mean as an investor how do I get people to know me and hear about my services:

- I start helping friends and family, because they are best as spreading the word
- I try to make as close of a relation with my clients (sometime take their families out for dinner is worth it in the long run), because when you make friends with clients they may become everlasting
- Try to get myself on the new (but that's very hard and you have to be in a certain field and have connections)
- Establish a website
- Establish a facebook account but for clients not for personal life (You can have two)
- The list can go on

You can do a lot of things free, such a getting out to networking events, using twitter and facebook, online business listings, offering free seminars to people, etc. That's how you get to be known as the expert in your field-- the go-to guy.
