Can I use my email address after I delete my Twitter account?

Here's the deal. I wanted a new account so I deactivated my account. Then I found out I had to do something to get my email address available for a new account. When/ho can I get my email usable again?

if you deactivated the account without changing the email address associated with the account before deactivate the account, you cannot use the email for another twitter account...looks like you have to create another email address...hope it will help...
