The flaw of capitalism, if you want to call it that, is that it rewards producers and disposes of moochers. I happen to think that's a wonderful thing, as it creates great things.

It leads to Corporations. If there is no limit to what they can do, then there will be no limit to what they do.

capitalism does not reward the producers and dispose the moochers.
Corporations that reverse engineer another product, or expects the tax payers to pay for security forces to protect oil transports, mooch much greater than anyone else, and they do very well. The downfall of any system, is when you allow it to go to its obsessive end. Any pure system, capitalism, socialism, or communism will collapse due to its own weaknesses, if not supported by the strengths of other systems. For example... in a capitalist system, wealth tend to move upwards. It accumulates upwards and if left to do so, poverty will ultimately get worse, and the economy collapse on itself as we are now seeing. |

Greed and excess, but it's far worse in every other economic system. We had a capitalist system in this country once and we didn't collapse because of greed. On the contrary every other system has done nothing but prop up the elites and make everyone else live in destitute poverty. We don't have true capitalism and we can overcome that by embracing the free-market system again. Many countries throughout the world have free-market economies and don't have the robber barons and widespread poverty people claim they create.
"What kind of society isn't structured on greed? The problem of social organization is how to set up an arrangement under which greed will do the least harm; capitalism is that kind of a system" Milton Friedman |
