How can I advertise a poker blog online?
Hey Guys,
I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to market my poker blog online. I have just created it and am adding content everyday, which mainly consists of helpful beginner guides. Any help would be much appreciated. For reference the website is http://www.paid2poker.com Thanks in advance, Ads |

Posting this question on Yahoo! Answers is one way of advertising it
1) Put up videos on YouTube and MySpace. (What a Royal Flush looks like, how a typical poker game is set up, etcetera) 2) Advertise on message boards that deal with poker. 3) Make a Facebook page for the blog. 4) Set up a Twitter account. 5) Get a Technorati membership. (http://technorati.com) 6) Stumble the website (each of the individual pages) on StumbleUpon. 7) Make the blog available on RSS 2.0 - this way, people that have visited and opted into the RSS won't forget about the site. Whatever else you do, have something to offer - advertising without any follow-through in your content will kill you quicker than anything else. Good luck. Ads |

Your best bet to promote your website would be to submit your site to google, yahoo, dmoz, poker directories and also submit to lesser known directories.
Forums let you leave a signature even yahoo answers will get backlinks for you. Facebook and myspace pages for exposure. Exchange links with other related poker sites and update and add more content to your website at least weekly. Content and keywords are the major things in regards to building search engine results, better results means more visitors and hopefully more money. Get google analytics which helps you see how many visitors, time spent and pages visited. |
