How can I get more traffic on my website?

I just made my store website (I paid for it), its almost a month now but its not getting much traffic. It seems to me that its a dead website. What should I do? What/who I need to pay or buy to get it working? How do I get sales?

There are lots of options that you can do to get started. You should start with free options until you have gained income to pay for traffic adverts/services.
Search engines are changing regularly so you need to cover many diverse sources.
Make sure your site is indexed, if you have not already, by the search engines by submitting it to them via their webmaster tools.

Social Networks are major & you should consider setting up Twitter & Facebook accounts to start with. Depending on your marketplace LinkedIn is another good network to have a presence on
Share tips etc at first on your posts do not try to sell immediately. Set up your profile with your web site address.

Video is another good source. You can create basic videos & set up a Youtube channel to start with,again with reference to your website.

Create unique articles of good content & submit to article directories. Create a press relase announcing your new site & submit to press release directories.

Find forums related to your market & start contributing to the discussion then after a while you could drop your www address into your signature box so that each time you post your web address will appear.
