Russia is not considered communist. China is. the definition is so broad that I dont think anyone could give you an exact answer. Some people say Russia is, I dont, so there you go. Good question, made me think...lol

They are all is Asia (China, Vietnam, North Korea, Laos) except for Cuba.

Well, there is a difference between Socialism and Communism, but most Americans can't tell the difference because they are all by word of mouth. The ignorance forces them to ally against us with other countries like the former USSR. If you push people away, naturally they ... go away.

America is becoming one very fast, to much power in the state governments, and not the people. Russia is still communist, China is communist, and Korea is Communist.

Socialism is like Passive-Communism with the same virtues and faults. I will say, however, that Socialist countries generally have more freedoms and better human rights.

Russia is technically a democracy, i believe. However, the countries leaders are alot of old USSR men and women. Vladimir Putin is Ex-KGB so realistically its still has a long way to go before it truly sheds its communistic ways but, they have made strides.

None in the eastern bloc and i believe the people above me are correct in the number of "Overtly Communist" countries.

None. A communist country is a contradiction in terms, since Communism/Socialism would have to be a worldwide system. Capitalism and Communism can't co-exist, as one implies class ownership of the means of production and the other involves common ownership.

Cuba, Laos, Vietnam, and North Korea. North Korea though is the last truly Stalinist regime.

China is semi-Communist. The reason I say this about China is because they are embracing free market principles. But they still have Communist treatment over many basic human rights on various social issues.
