Can I get my hacked Twitter back?

My account was hacked yesterday and I had a lot of important people following me. I contacted Twitter Support but they haven't responded. Is there anyway I can hack it back?
The hacker also changed my email

If you're able to log in to the email your Twitter is registered with, go to Twitter's log in page: http://twitter.com/login and click on Forgot? (next to Password). Type in the email address you registered the Twitter with and then press Send instructions. Log into your email and in your inbox you should be given the option of resetting your Twitter password, giving you back access and locking out the hacker. I'd recommend choosing a password difficult to guess, with at least one capital letter, a number and the more uncommon the word is the better.

Edit: Then there's nothing you can do to retrieve the account.
