How can i contact someone on twitter if i am following them but they aren't following me?

I am new to twitter and i am following a person that has like over 6,000 followers so i was wondering if there is anyway to contact them if they are not following me.

Well seeing as they're not following you, you won't be able to direct message them so just put @then their username + they'll be able to see that from you.

Yes, like Vanessa said, you can just put @ before their username and write asking if they would follow you. They can check their @username on the sidebar of their home page to see who is talking about them. They will then see your tweet. There really is no other way, unless they have a website they link to that you can contact them through.
