How do you increase traffic to a website?

It depends who your target group is, but Viral Marketing is a good bet all round. Try making a short video introducing your website in the wierdest possible way (film it in a strange place, wear strange clothes etc.) so you create a clip that teases the audience into going to your site to find out what it actually is and try to work out the reason for the strange video.

Post the video on youtube, facebook, twitter and any other social site with a name that makes people watch it (without lying about the content- that puts people off. Just choose a name that makes people confused enough to look at it) and wait. If it hits off, people will share it on and it'll slowly spread.

Say it reached 100 people in one month, and 20% of them were your target audience, then you have reached 20 new customers. Then say that these people share the video, and they get 100 views, another 20 of who are interested, then you have 420 people in 2 months. I think that's a good start, don't you?
