Regarding Twitter: If I open a Twitter account, will my profile, tweets, followers, etc., be made public?

I want a very tight and private Twitter account and prefer for my profile to be private, not widely available to the public. Is this possible?

No, it's not possible. even if you delete your twitter account your tweets can still be searched on the internet. i know because someone hacked into my old one and then it was deleted but i was still able to view anything that was posted by the person who hacked it.
