why is google chrome restricting my access to certain websites?
no browser has ever given me more problems than chrome. i share a computer with my family, and there are no restrictions on at all in the preferences. it's restricting my access to sites like tumblr, and twitter. i'm on a mac if that helps.

Did you installed any extensions lately to your chrome.??
I suggest you to reset chrome and see if it helps Smile

Enter " ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/ "
You will find a "Default" folder .. Delete this folder and load chrome.
It will be reset to default settings, optionally login to Sync to restore your bookmarks and other goodies.

Hope it helps Smile

You also can't get windows updates from Microsoft through Chrome. Microsoft won't allow it as Chrome is a google program.

There are lots of things you can't do in Chrome that you can in IE. My husband uses Chrome, I use IE so I have seen the differences. We share the same pc and have both loaded on it.

Yes Chrome is faster but that's because it can't do as much as IE can and it frustrates me so I don't use it.
