What is the best site in english in the nederlands for dating?

I need to know the BEST dating site in the netherlands that's free and that's in English. Also, what is a good site to find roommates in the netherlands?

Try millionairecupid.com. It's a quite quality and reputable for serious dating. Also, successfuldates.com is not a bad choice.

Anyway, finding a roommate means you want to find a room in a shared accomodation and the best way to do that is via Marktplaats where you can post or respond to adverts placed on this site (but it's only in Dutch) http://www.marktplaats.nl/

Go to
- 'Huizen en Kamers' (houses & rooms)
- 'Plaats of postcode' fill in the town/city or postcode of the place you are looking at and then in the next field the distance search in km
- 'Wat zoekt u?' - choose 'huizen en kamers te huur' (houses & rooms to rent)
- 'Prijsklasse' - fill in min/max prices (optional)
- press 'zoek' (search)

However most places will require you to stay a minimum of one year, and unless you have a confirmation of a residence permit (which I explained in depth in your last question) then it is a bit silly to sign a contract if you are not sure you are going to be able to stay. It's a contract and you will have to pay even if you leave. Also all legal landlords will require you register with the municipality and once again, if you do not have the legal status you cannot register.

As for dating sites then there are several in Dutch that advertise well you only want ones in English and quite frankly this puts you in a minority then and with far more people from abroad looking for a minority of people who only speak English in the Netherlands. As a result you are going to find lots of scam sites and scammers looking to cash in to people wanting to find relationship visa partnerships - just a friendly warning! e.g. http://www.gracenglamour.com/prevent-you...ing-scams/

This is the same for roommate sites as well in English for the Netherlands, there just isn't a big enough market apart from scammers trying to cash in!

So I don't know the BEST dating site in English but a reputable site (at least for other things than dating is Expatica and they have a section for dating http://netherlandsdating.expatica.com/

Otherwise you can try the social networking sites like Facebook, Myspace and the Dutch one http://www.hyves.nl/ (also in English)
