What can I do to advertise my website for free?

I have been advertising my website in my signatures on forums, and I have added my website to directories. Any other idea's?

I will be making a google Adwords advert when I have added more to my website.

There are limited options to advertise your website for free - we better not talk about spam. Google Ads is the best option for your needs. Also, don't forget the search engines. People will be able to find your website, when you use the correct keywords, from Google or Yahoo!

If, by "free" you mean completely free as in $0 out of pocket then your only options are social media (facebook / myspace / twitter etc) and free blogs like blogger or livejournal.

As you probably know, with free marketing your results are, unfortunately limited. Small investment in marketing of $100 - $200 / months could buy you adsense ads and commercial blogging platform for marketing like v6transition and some articles and press releases.

You just have to remember to "spend money to make money" and be smart about it.
