I think the original idea made sense but people have turned it into something wrong.

It's understandable why so many don't get Twitter. After all, what could one possibly have to say in 140 characters -- multiple times a day -- that would be of interest to others?

HOWEVER, I think the dissatisfaction comes from those who don't use Twitter with a purpose.

For business owners, Twitter is an excellent social media marketing tool to connect with clients on many levels. You can find out what customers really want, what they like/don't like about existing products and services, improvements they'd like to see, how they like to be contacted, etc.

And, you can do all of this for free.

In short, if you approach Twitter as a tool to help you understand -- and deliver -- what customers want, it is not only beneficial to you, but beneficial to them as well.

And, isn't that the goal of any form of communication?

Hope this sheds some light on how to properly use Twitter.

Sincerely,
Yuwanda Black, SEO/SEM Specialist

I use Twitter all the time.
My attraction to it is mainly the Trending Topics, which are always very fun.
And if you follow/get followed by cool people, you can have a lovely chat.
I think you have to use it for a while to get really into it, like a good album.
