Why am I getting all these add requests on msn messenger from people I don't know when I don't even have a ...?

profile picture. I know that my account was hacked when I clicked on this link that was from my niece. She later told me that someone had hacked into her account and sent this link that gets your password when clicked on. Does anyone know anything about this hack and could the hacker be the person sending all the add requests? Are the two linked somehow?

make sure your contacts computer has an antivirus program installed cuz if their computer gets infected, the infection will be emailed to all their contacts in their address book

I get, classmates, yahoo messenger, facebook and twitter requests ALL of the time.

I think they know one of my in-laws and feels that is enough of a "connection" to be "friends", followers, "tweeters" etc.

I usually just decline. I am pretty sure that if I do not know them, they do NOT "know" me.
I know on one occasion I have been mistaken for my sister-in-law who lives near Kalamazoo! I am in Waterford.

They might be linked. But it really does not matter. You could abandon the account for about a month. Clean it out. Then see if you still want to use it. (I have about 12 email accounts. The ones I have on mail.com are very DISPOSABLE.
