why is my internet so slow?

My internet was way faster last week and now it keeps crashing and it will barely let me use youtube and view photos on facebook and twitter etc here is a list of things I downloaded in the past month tell me if any of them may have caused my slowness
-World Of Warcraft
-frostwire
-power ISO
-IMVU
-I have mistakenly clicked links on twitter that hacked my account I don't know about my computer though
-iTunes
-And I torrented some music

Restart your modem

-click "Run"
Type in "%temp%"
and delete everything in there.
Maybe that will help speed it up.

Another suggestion is to go to press "start"
"all programs"
"Accessories"
"System tools"
The click "Disk Defragmenter"
It'll speed it up for sure

Well you could either use a program called disk defragment, it'll take awhile but it will make your computer run smoothly as new.
You could scan your computer for viruses that could of infected your system, I recommend that you use Kaspersky.
And the link that you clicked on that managed to hack your account is something called a key logger which catches all of your personal details and hacks things with it.
Or check where your source of internet comes from i.e. sky, B.T, virgin ring them and see if they have anything wrong with there connections.
