How many of you Brits who support immigration live in Poverty?
Or are homeless?

Or have trouble finding work because the local market is deluged with cheap East European labour?

You're all very comfortably off aren't you?
Grinning-Ape - unlike you I don't read newsrags. My experience of homelessness and poverty are sadly, personal.
OK folks you're misreading my question.

I am anti immigration

- I know many Brits who live in poverty and have been put there through losing work to immigrants.

The only reason these liberals can SUPPORT immigration is because they have no knowledge of what it is like to live below the bread line and have your dignity taken away from you!

Those who are living below the breadline do NOT want more immigrants here!!
I know trained mechanics, plumbers and bricklayers who can't get work in their trade because east europeans are cheaper.

Most of these people are working as cleaners and MaccyD's staff to make ends meet as you can't pay rent or mortgage on the dole and there are no council houses.

I'm a white uni grad and I've worked in both a pub and MaccyD's - in fact all the staff in my local McDonalds are white and most of them are only there out of desperation.

Yes you're all comfortably off I thought as much.
Cut the crap about British people "not wanting to work" I have NEVER met anyone like that! Thats just a horrible stupid excuse liberals use to degrade and demoralise British people and it is not TRUE! Most of the people I know get paid minimum wage and work their arses off! Most are trained and skilled enough to earn much more.

Good question, i suspect it is zero.

If i was hungry, homeless or had a family to feed, there is not much that i would not do to survive. It's OK saying stay in your own country if that is condeming you and your family to a life of poverty!

We, that's everyone who can afford the money and time to be online now, are very lucky.

No, we're not all comfortably off.

It's not illegal immigrants who keep people poor. They make a good scapegoat though don't they?

Economics and the unfair taxation system in this country are what keep people poor. Taxing the rich more would be a good place to start.

Most illegal immigrants come to work for minimum wage or less anyway. The only people who benefit from that is the people who eploit them, i.e. the employers.

I think the ones that do go on about how good immigration is for our Country, "are" the ones who are "comfortably off" as you say.

They are not affected by the influx which is taking away the low paid jobs from our struggling manual workers.

They probably own the companies that are using these immigrants as "cheap labour"

I have met a few Polish people that are working in civil engineering. They are polite, hard working etc. but will work for less wages.

They have no intention of staying here permanently, just long enough to earn enough money to buy houses back in Poland.

I spoke with one guy who had saved enough money to do just that in 18 months.

He had been living with 3 other Poles in bed & breakfast accommodation, sharing a room. This is why he had been able to save the money.

Never met a Brit who doesn't want to work? Are you looking? I work for a charity that amongst other things, supports local young people, none are working, only one out of the 18 are in further education, 16 of these have said they don't want to work.

Instead of blaming the immigrants why don't you blame the employers as it's them who are forcing Brits out of work by demanding low paid work and reaping the profits.
Economic migrants have contributed to a 30% rise in the economy.
