I need a historical or current event that relates to quote.?

Maybe something that a famous person got caught lying about but it can't just be a lie. They had to have gotten caught lying because they told their story differently.

During the Cold War an American U-2 spy plane was shot down over the Soviet Union. The president - Eisenhower, denied that we flew any spy planes over the Soviet Union. The pilot survived and pictures of him and the wreck of his plane were genuine. Eisenhower lied, because any pilot of the U-2s was suppose to use a cyanide capsule and die if they were in danger of being captured, but Gary Powers didn't commit suicide as he was suppose to.

New York Representative Anthony Weiner - or shall we say, *former* Rep Weiner.

He was caught in a sexting scandal, and claimed that his Twitter account had been hacked, and he really wasn't sending explicit photos of himself to females. But he WAS, and he later admitted it, and tried to hang onto his Congressional seat, but wasn't successful.
