Bob is an accountant with 25 years of experience. He, and many like him, was laid off during the great Recession, and now that his company is hiring again, they're hiring newly printed 22 year old accountants instead of him. Should the government put 50 year old Bob, a talented and knowledgeable accountant to work? Then Bob would be off of welfare, since unemployment ran out, and would rather be doing something for our great society.

Its government regulation that prevents the hiring of old people.

Would you rather pay a teenager $10 to mow your lawn, or pay Bob with 25 years of experience $200, which is what he commands?

Maybe Bob needs to get real. Companies aren't in the business of charity. They are in it to make money.

The Government is already loaded with incompetent idiots who cannot survive in the private sector. You want to load them up with more bloated, expensive people? Great.......

only if they are a minority or democratic voter or illegal alien Oh and tell Bob not to apply in Dayton Ohio. The justice department headed by Eric Holdon sued the police department because they wouldn't hire idiots that could pass a simple test and put them on the streets carrying a weapons. then Dayton paid $600,000 to have the test redone and made easier and they still didn't pass it. So Bob wouldn't have a chance there unless he failed the test and made a bad grade then he could say he was discriminated against for being an idiot and wanted to carry a gun.

It's sad but seems illegal to make a city do what the government has been doing for 50 years and that is promoting people who make 50 on a test or an F to a top leadership position. We are the only country that promotes dumb people and it shows, the country is tubing it. Just look at the administration.

there are safeguards for age discrimination but don't expect Obama's Dept of Justice to enforce it. He has made open warfare on old folks with their social security checks and denying them the ability to work part time to make ends meet. Those part time jobs are reserved for illegals and Obama is the gatekeeper for that.

Why does that happen? The answer can be found at Disneyland on the Potomac.
