Social media is huge. You have to have a blog with great content, a great facebook page and purchase advertising where people will see it.

Do you actually think you're going to get an in-depth, expect answer here on how to market and publicize your book? Research is your best friend. See what other self-published authors are doing - specifically, research those who are successful at it - and find people who are book publicists and see if they have blogs, twitter, facebook, or other social media sites where they give advice. There are also books written on it, so you might want to pick some of those up. Kristin Lamb gives advice on it, and it's up to you to look her up if you're interested.

You can self publish on amazon really easily and free (they make money on book sales you get 35-75% on sales) but don't expect it to sell lots even if you advertise and even if it is an amazing book but keep advertising on Facebook, Twitter, goodreads and don't give up. Google search amazon ebook self publishing and you will get lots of information. You never know you could sell millions but don't get your hopes up and never give up
