Is it weird to have a Twitter crush?
I think I have feelings for a total stranger that I met on Twitter. We always talk about life and our interests *Music*. Ever since I deactivated my Twitter account, I miss him a lot. Is this normal to have a little crush and what should I do?

Maybe not so much weird as possibly foolish. The way that people seem on the internet is usually completely different from how they are in real life. You can't judge someone's character because all the normal cues that we use to judge people such as tone of voice, expression, body language and behaviour are completely absent in the context of Twitter.

Depending on the Twitter content, you could probably learn a fair amount about someone and develop feelings.
I would say just enjoy the crush and keep moving forward, other interests will draw you to future folks.... |

It makes perfectly good sense. There is something mysterious, sexy and exciting about strangers. When you have very little to go on, your imagination fills in the details as you'd like them to be.
What I suggest you do about it is FORGET ABOUT IT. He was a stranger and no matter how exciting it feels, the dude could be some weird axe murderer or rapist. Maybe a pedophile or, at least, not who he claims to be. He was probably just some old dirty guy getting his kicks by talking to you. Just look up some news stories and that should cure your crush. From the Penn State coach to the recent Craig's List murderers, there are enough stories about creeps that it SHOULD make you want to stay far, far away from any guy! |
