Is MCA (Motor Club of America) legit or a scam?
I've been seeing a lot of stuff about it on Twitter and other social sites about how easy it is to make money but it kind of seems a little weird to me. I've looked at their site and did a little research on it, but most people were just trying to refer me. So does anyone have any idea if this actually works?

you can google it and bring up lots about it..

but its your typical pyramid scheme..and unless you're into that

I'd steer very clear of it...you pay them and then sell shared to others..

simple pyramid...dont buy into the hype...do your homework there..

plenty of history

Hi Devin,

Are you referring to motorclubamerica.net or mcamotorclubofamerica.com? Anyway, I did a little research about these two websites. Hopefully, these information will help you in your query.

Both websites are not indexed in Verify1st.com, an online tool that reveals a website's reputation, identity and relationships. This means that they are not popular websites because we have the top websites indexed for now. But soon, as verify1st expands, they might show up. Check the information here: http://verify1st.com/motorclubamerica.net

The website mcamotorclubofamerica.com ranked 275,313rd globally and 63,373rd in the US with only 21 sites linking into it. On the other hand, motorclubamerica.net ranked 698,274th globally and 85,822nd in the US with only 17 sites linking into it. This indicates that indeed, both websites are not popular. Check out the information here: http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/mcamotorclubofamerica.com

The website mcamotorclubofamerica.com is only 225 days old. As such, I doubt if they have built an online reputation already. In fact, one online reputation site, which based its ratings from people's opinions doesn't have a report for this website yet. Other details are that the website location is in the United States, it is not blacklisted and the domain will expire on March 27, 2013. Hmmm... It's odd that the website will expire that fast. It could be risky. The same conclusions can be implied to motorclubamerica.net because it is only 139 days old and although it is not blacklisted and location is in the United States, the domain will expire on June 20, 2013. Moreover, this website is using a proxy service to hide its identity. The reason could be that they don't want to receive spams. Still, beware because this is a common behaviour of scam sites.

Concerning computer threats, Google and one malware checker find these two websites safe, while the other malware checker hasn't tested the two websites yet.

I visited both the websites and here are my insights:

For mcamotorclubofamerica.com, a tagline saying "A trusted name since 1926" contradicts the fact that the website is only 225 days old. The website has fair amount of information. However, physical address and contact numbers are not provided. Communicating with them is only through ticket support system, which can easily be discarded. Whereas, for motorclubamerica.net, a fair amount of information is provided. Contact numbers and ticket support system are the ways of communicating with them.

I hope these information will help you. My advice is you may proceed at your own risk. If you have skills in selling, then you have a chance of earning really big here. But be warned of course of the age of the business as both websites existed for only less than a year. It could be risky.

If there are certain websites you want to check in the future, just go to verify1st.com. With it, you can shop online with confidence. You might also want to check out their Facebook fan page: https://www.facebook.com/verify1st The information and tips they post will help you a lot in spotting high risk websites. God bless!
