Put an ad in the paper. I've noticed that Spring time is when most ads go out there but it doesn't hurt to put an ad out there.

Promote it... hmm.. go to forums that relate to it that allow people to promote their own websites.
List your site wherever you can, but don't go in to places and become a spammer.

As for making the site better..... just get more dress designs. Make sure to offer ones that are great for plus size girls as well. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find websites that list decent dresses that would look good on a plus size girl.
I would also start looking in to offering bridal accessories, such as jewelry, hair jewelry/combs/tiaras, different styles of veils, gloves, shawls, jackets, also list different types of sleeves and strap styles.
And if you don't do it already and if it's possible, perhaps allowing customers to customize their dress more.
I got my dress from kaersen.com, and they let you customize your dress completely which is awesome.
I would also include a color chart. Show the difference between white, ivory, and champagne and list other colors that customers can pick from (for sashes, embroidery, etc)
It would just be alot easier for customers to get all of this info from 1 website instead of having to get it from several.

Oh and maybe list the different fabrics you offer and what the difference is between them... with photo examples of course Smile

Well, you'll need more than 11 gowns...lol. I think you know that.

I know models are expensive, but they make the gowns look much nicer than a mannequin. Consider going to a high school or university and put up adds. You may be able to get away with paying very little or nothing for the shoot, if you're willing to let the girls have copies of some of the shots (or say their best one) for portfolios...lots of girls dreaming of being models.

The dresses are a little hard to view, I'm not certain what makes it that way, maybe take a look at david's bridal online and see the difference.

I didn't notice, but you should have a buy back section. Offer to buy gently used wedding dresses from brides to increase your inventory without breaking the bank.

Good luck!

I'm a graphic web designer and I have a few ideas for you.

Overall your site looks nice, you might consider a more elegant & classy layout though.

1. Please fix or have someone help you with your grammar and spelling. This is very important to look professional.

2. In order to increase your site visits you need to consider Search Engine Optimization. There are several companies that offer this. I work with http://www.AdventDigital.net for my clients. There is a lot I can say about SEO but it is the MOST important way for you to advertise. You need to have as many links to your site as possible, that is how Google ranks pages. The more links the higher up on Google you go. SEO companies will help you do this.

3. You can setup a shop on ebay in addition to your website. This will really help drive traffic to your site.

4. Craigslist.org, facebook.com, myspace.com, blogger.com, livejournal.com (many many more) are all places you can advertise for free (set up blogs & journals with your link).

5. Google Ad-Sense (very important) This does cost money but again it will drive traffic & can be worth every penny.

6. Purchase ad space on wedding websites (I.E theknot.com)

As the poster above stated, you should also consider having models.

Well, I looked at it. And you advertise free shipping on all orders over $500.00. And that is great! But you don't have a single dress that even comes close to that amount. Wedding dresses are things that you don't need more than one of and you would have to buy two dresses to get the free shipping.
I would recommend either a lower amount, or find something completely different as a special to run. Or add different items that you can be purchased like veils, crinoliners, accessories, tiaras and headbands, and maybe some other things like that.
Also, you can set up a store through ebay, if you want.
The Knott.com is a WONDERFUL place though. Many brides use it as a resourse as it is generally all inclusive.

Good luck! The dresses are beautiful!

I agree with Evil Autumn...PLEASE fix your grammar. That is a major pet peeve of mine and I would not purchase from a store that had so many mistakes. Otherwise, I thinks it's a good start to a website.
