Sometime around 4am EST which would be 1 am where "Rowdy" Roddy Piper lives in Oregon, he posted the following on his Twitter account

"Randy slapped Vince in a bar...End of that story!!"

That has a lot more credibility than any other story I've heard about the Vince - Savage "feud". Not just because it was Roddy Piper relating it.

Vince does like to "hang out with the boys" after a show at times. He also likes to get drunk with them when he "hangs out" with them. Pretty much every wrestler autobiography I've read has at least one story of Vince "hanging out with the boys" in a bar after a show. Joe Laurinaitis (Road Warrior Animal) wrote about such a story in his recent autobiography, where the boys egged Vince on to take the Road Warriors' Doomsday Device finisher in the bar they were at. Vince took the move.

Vince can be an overbearing as*hole. Randy had a temper. In a bar is "off the job". If Vince...overstepped his bounds I can easily see Randy slapping the taste out of his mouth, embarrassing Vince in front of his employees.

Vince holds grudges forever. And he always gets even, even if it takes years and lots of money to do so.
