How does the Twitter iPhone app work?
So I signed up for twitter today, and I downloaded the iphone app for it. I was wondering how the app works. I am following a few people that tweet important news (ex: nfl news, world news, entertainment news etc) and I was wondering if I would get an alert on my iPhone everytime someone tweets something. Is that how it works? Is there a way I can set it up like that?

I'm not sure if your Twitter app has the ability to alert you (I'm assuming by a noise?) but I found an app that can:
