product life cycle helps business performance as do sales lead generation activity thro marketing communications (sales promotion etc)

For benefits to society then that would be healthcare programmes and other Pubic sector marketing and advertisng

Improved quality - that could cover healthcare and wellness (above) as well as better public services (buses/trains - waste collection delivery etc) as well as holiday promotions!
