GAIN +80 FOLLOWERS EVERYDAY, TWITTER HELP?

I'm a muslim girl and I've been using Twitter for quite some time. But since like last 2 weeks again, i changed my profile picture to my face and I guess people pretty much like it. But at the same day, i put #ProudMuslim in my bio on twitter.
Ever since then, Arabs start following me, I get over +80 followers everyday, others and most of them are Arabs from the middle east. They're all so kind and nice. I gained 62 followers today and most of them are from the Middle east! (almost all guys) Why suddenly change? Is it because of the #proudmuslim tag? I don't mind but i'm just curious the world possibly make me gain so much followers, all in the same region! I love getting followers. What could possibly be going on?
