I think that its new, but they say you can get rewards. Are they legit? There live support never seems to be online. I found the rewards but there not on the application, instead they put them on there company profile. Has any one gotten a reward? What is the quality?

Personally? No.

On Facebook and MySpace you need to be careful which Apps you use. I remember seeing recently a report about the SpeedDate App replacing a lot of Apps people had before.

Since you're using Credit Cards to send the gifts, you need to choose who you use on Facebook very wisely.

Hi Nikolai,

I spend a lot of time promoting and searching for anything related to EBeenz Entertainment Inc, considering I co-founded the company about a year ago, with the aims of increases the quality of applications developed on the Facebook Platform.

We released our first application, the EBeenz Gift Shop on December 18th, of 2008 - so yes, we are new on Facebook.

Many of our gifts are free. We do have some gifts which cost, but the currency we use is called, "EBeenz". This virtual currency is gained by inviting your friends, or for shopping online. We do allow people to purchase EBeenz using PayPal, but we never see or ask for banking information directly and PayPal does not provide us with this information.

The gifts that have a value can be recycled, earning you EBeenz. Let's say your friend sends you a gift that has a value of 100 EBeenz. You can recycle that gift and receive 10% of the value. Over time and after many recycled gifts, you can cash in your EBeenz for certain products. Right now we have Soy-Based candles, produced by wicked wax. They cost 5000 EBeenz. We pay for shipping and we must pay tax on each product, so taxes are included. As more gifts are recycled, that means fewer gifts remain in circulation - the result: the value of the remaining gifts increase. This is supply and demand.

To gain 5000 EBeenz, you would need to have 100 of your friends add the application, recycle 50,000 EBeenz worth of gifts or make about $500 worth of purchases online through our sponsors. You can do a combination of these methods, or just choose one method.

Since our sponsors pay us commissions on successful purchases, we use this money to upgrade the application, pay our bills and of course, build up stockpiles of products, which we call rewards.

By the end of January, 2009, we will have the rewards gallery located within the application (as opposed to its present location on our company's fan page), as well as a new method for viewing our sponsors. (Our developers had a much needed vacation and return on January 5th to start working on our upgrades).

Making purchases through our sponsors will typically require a valid credit card, which we will never ask you for, nor will we obtain such information from them. This works similar to popular "Air" points. I think you know the company I'm speaking of.

The previous answer was correct, as you should be very careful when giving out information online. Since the inception of the release of the developer's API (Application Programming Interface) over a year and a half ago, Facebook has seen countless applications (over 50 thousand to date) and many of these applications have found loopholes, or blatently ignored the Facebook Platform Developer's Policy. Many applications forced users to invite their friends before seeing the answer to a simple quiz and there have been a lot of "shady" applications, tricking users into installing other applications. You can find countless discussion about the results of those applications in the Facebook Developer Forum.

Since we start each user off with 1000 EBeenz (about $10 worth), we require certain information, which we store on our servers, This is to avoid loopholes of users adding the application, sending 1000 EBeenz worth of gifts to a friend, then removing and re-adding the application to get another 1000 EBeenz for free to repeat the process. This would have disasterous effects on our reward stock, as you can well imagine.

We have been funded by private capital, funding from the Canadian Youth Business Foundation and the Business Development Bank of Canada.

Our offices are located in Riverview, New Brunswick, a city that is part of the Greater Moncton Area.

Our live support staff has been operating on minimal hours during the holidays, but we have a very fast response rate at our support@ebeenz.com address, with several employees constantly monitoring the email account.

If you would like more information before you add the application, feel free to contact us!
