I want to delete/deactivate my twitter account?

OK so I want to delete or deactivate or whatever my account, i just want it gone. But I am unable to sign in to twitter because the email address i made the account with, I no longer have access to as I have forgotten the password. Now when i try to re-access this old email address, microsoft tells me that they will email another even old email address with a link to change the password.
I cannot access this even older email address because this was made by a friend of mine, and I don't know the details of that older email address. I doubt my friend does either as this was probably about 6-7 years ago.

So how do I delete twitter if i can't access that email account due to a forgotten password, or the email account that microsoft sends the password change information to?

just follow the steps :

To deactivate your account:
1.Sign in to twitter.com on the web.
2.Go to your Account settings and click on Deactivate my account at the bottom of the page.
3.Read the account deactivation information. Click Okay, fine, deactivate account.
4.Enter your password when prompted and verify that you want to deactivate your account.
