He didn't lie. He told the truth as he knew it from the State Dept. and CIA. Information is still developing on a very complicated situation, which seems to indicate that there WAS reaction to the video going on as well.

You would have to be sticking your head in the main stream media hole not to know why. An Israeli paper two weeks before posted they knew the attack on Benghazi was coming. They state they warned the Whitehouse.

At the time of the attack 300 people were included in an email that said they were under attack and who the attackers were, that it was preplanned and a terrorist attack. Ms Lamb from state department watched it in real time on video feed. They sent a drone to watch it. They sent troops to Tripoli and other places close by and had strike force within 400 miles and yet told them to hold off. Two department heads have said that the let the ambassador die because he was expendable.

They asked for security and denied the state department denied it and said do not ask for it again. They asked for it again and the state department removed what they did have. They asked again and the state department said we will give you 5 guards and that is all. They took it and Ms Lamb had the arrogance to say at the 4 hours congressional hearings (I listened to all 4 hours) that they agreed to it and there for did not want more.

She lied and said they did not give more security because they did not have the funding and democrats said the republicans voted against the bill to pass it. The hearings made it clear the bill they voted against had nothing to do with the money to fund the ambassadors, embassies and consulates and they did have plenty of money. Even though some of that money was spent by Obama to fund green projects and give free electric cars to Austria.

I suspect they let the ambassador die because he had proof that al Qaeda was not over and was worse now and we should not be removing troops from Afghanistan so fast. The story line that they would have to give more security because it is so bad there and that denying it lead to their death and proves that Obama’s foreign policy has not worked and killing Osama Bin Laden and the ones that took his place did not destroy al Qaeda would prove that Obama failed. They tried to cover it up for multiple reasons; for one to help Obama get reelected.

They failed to do the right thing and proved more security when it was needed. They argued with heads of state that said they needed it insisting al Qaeda was not as bad as they reported. Obama is out of touch and thinks if you destroy the leader the followers will disband…that is out dated and ignorant with it comes to radical Islamic Muslims. This is not a king Arthur Hollywood movie, it is the reality that for hundreds of years this Muslim radical group has taken on different factions and has as it’s mission to kill all who do not follow their law, turn Muslim and to take over the world.

Pray tell how is the attack Bush's fault since has not been in office since 2008? Obama has the habit of lying about anything that may bring reproach. He has consistently lied as well as members of the administration. After all it was the anniversary of the attack on the twin towers, the Pentagon and of the downed plane of 911.

A top State Department security official in Libya told a congressional investigator that he had argued unsuccessfully for more security in the weeks before Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed. Department officials instead wanted to “normalize operations and reduce security resources,” he wrote in an email Tuesday. Senior State Department officials acknowledged to Congress on Wednesday that they had turned down requests to send more U.S. military personnel to guard diplomatic facilities in Libya shortly before the Sept. 11 attack that killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans. But Charlene Lamb, deputy assistant secretary in charge of diplomatic security, argued that security at the U.S. mission in Benghazi was appropriate for known threats related to the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the United States.

The records obtained by Reuters consist of three emails dispatched by the State Department's The text said the State Department's regional security office had reported that the diplomatic mission in Benghazi was "under attack.

A second email, headed "Update 1: U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Benghazi" and timed 4:54 p.m. Washington time, said that the Embassy in Tripoli had reported that "the firing at the U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Benghazi had stopped and the compound had been cleared." It said a "response team" was at the site attempting to locate missing personnel.

A third email, also marked SBU and sent at 6:07 p.m. Washington time, carried the subject line: "Update 2: Ansar al-Sharia Claims Responsibility for Benghazi Attack." The message reported: "Embassy Tripoli reports the group claimed responsibility on Facebook and Twitter and has called for an attack on Embassy Tripoli."

Every email was ignored and as a result Ambassador Stevens was brutally killed as well as the 4 men assigned to protect him and the embassy. Then Obama described the incident as a "small bump". He clearly is not fit to hold the office of president of the US!
