On a mobile phone with facebook, will my data usage increase by receiving a text from a Facebook friend?
I just got a Blackberry Bold 9700, and installed the Facebook app. One of my friends texted me yesterday, who I am also friends with on facebook, and their facebook profile picture appeared in our texting conversation. The other thing I noticed is that for my Facebook friends who listed their place of employment on Facebook, that information will appear in my contact list.

My question is, since facebook is being accessed to retrieve that information (picture and place of employment), will that have an impact on my data usage on the phone?

I have a data plan on the phone, however it's only 2MB/month ($15/month). You know how phone companies kill you for over usage, haha.

Thanks in advance for your help.

No, but you will be charged extra data usage if you're actually on Facebook on your phone. But no, it's a one time thing for your phone to retrieve profile photos for your contacts.

if it is automatically intergrated it doesn't. however on your plan (I am assuming it is T-Mobile, who I work for) your overages can't be over $30. once you hit $15 in overages it automatically switches you to the unlimited web plan for the rest of that month.
