My company is working on the "Pirate Gnome" franchise, where we'll be launching a new videogame. Social Media is the way to go probably, but as we're not widely known yet, it'll be hard getting an audience. What's the best way to reach people who haven't heard from you already?

I'm thinking of starting a viral in the sense of starting a buzz under an anagram of 'pirategnome', probably something related to something pirates do or something.
