I work for an online company, and I can see why building good relationships with customers is important. People are lot more skeptical to spend money on products/services that are based online, even though ACTUAL people are really the ones running the business, behind the scenes. It is simply a different medium of marketing and selling.

It is important for someone to show their customers and potential leads WHO they are so that people know who they are buying from. People are social beings and relationship building will always be important in some respects. Great customer service will never go out of style!
