Who disagrees with this modern era?
I am just going to state all my opinions and you guys could agree or disagree. I think that all this modern technology is bull-shit, Computers of all sorts are used for the wrong purposes. People use them to talk to people on facebook and stuff that is minimally important. Back in the early 80s computers were actually used for logic reasons; as of storing data and what not for companies. I think we should go back to that, frankly I hate computers I would throw mine out the window. Another topic that bothers me is this new era music, why do people sell this crap they threw together in 1 minute and sell it. Rap, cliche metal, screamo - its crap. Real music is from the 60s- late 80s, people back then actually made real music with emotion to it. I think the old school music should come back. Technology is really destroying the true values of life I belief, everything comes to people now of days instead of people going out and getting what they want. If you need to call someone you just take a cell phone out, thats pathetic. Cell phones are corrupting many things, people should be using land lines or phone booths. Also the auto manufacturer's industry bothers me, these new cars are ridiculous with all the things they can do. I like the old simple cars from the 50s-80s that just drive and don't have all these crazy gadgets and what not.

Well you guys get the main idea tell me what you think.
Yes I did use a computer to make this question but that's only because I want to see if people across the world would agree or disagree with me.

I disagree with the ideas about technology, but I agree with the music part.

To some extent you are correct - although, of course, you are using your computer to compose your message!. My personal bete noire is the manufacturers of digital cameras who are constantly introducing unnecessary 'updates' in attempts to part more fools from their money. And what idiot thought it was a good idea to do away with viewfinders in compact cameras so that pictures are taken at arm's length thus greatly increasing the possibility of camera shake - any 12 year old with an elementary knowledge of levers should know this. And then there are mobile (cell) phones, with all the unnecessary gadgetry. I managed to work for 40 years without having to be in constant contact with all and sundry. And don't start me on supermarkets selling banking and insurance and even electricity..

There are things I dislike about the modern era, but not technology. I am very fond of computers, and I love doing stuff on the internet - lik yahoo! answers for instance.

Things I dislike about the modern era are political correctness, the morbid obsession with health and safety, the spiteful hounding of smokers etc. Techonology I don't have any quarrel with.

Dear Seakius, I can relate. We have seen more change in our lifetimes than most citizens of the world will ever see. Is this good or bad? Change is painful in some ways. It is like a piece of our life is being discarded when established activitie are changed beyond recognition. But, on the other hand, It has been a fascinating time in which to be alive!

As to the music, just get some of the kind you like and put it on the...victrola? No, that's not right. The record player? Um, no, I don't think so. The 8-track? Now I am just being silly. Well, put it on whatever they call that music player thing nowadays. And turn it up! Great music will always be great!
