My Public school and my Twitter rights?
Ok so on my twitter account, I said "some" tweets expressing my personal opinion about a matter. A guy from Oklahoma who I have not idea who he is E-mailed my school pictures of my tweets. Now from what my athletic director told me is my principal is getting involved and contacting my parents. I have a spotless record with A's and B;s and fyi the tweets didn't single out one person in particular. Should my school be getting involved as my tweets came from my ip address within my property, and I feel they are taking my 1st Amendment rights away from me. Should I be worried at all and what should I do.
They just want to talk and bring my parents for something not school related at all and I feel they shouldn't get involved
Also, my school says even when I am not in school, "I am still representing it" And another is since my fathers in law enforcement is that if you get in trouble anywhere in town or the world for the matter and the school finds out you can be suspended on the matter the person ins't in school.
Do you think also that since my school has been on the news before about an incident that I could threaten to go to news to make them look even worse?

Twitter rights - oh boy, now I've heard them all.

If you go to the news you are going to look like a fool.

When you get to be a junior or senior in high school and take american government, you will learn all about your twitter rights, as well as what the first amendment is all about, not to mention the term "in loco parentis"
