What am I suppose to do with Twitter?

Like seriously what is the point of it.
I mean, I don't understand how people across the globe just stay there for hours doing nothing! What... Who does that? (apparently everyone) I can't wrap my head around it. I just tried my first ten minutes, and the only thing I've done was question if I should delete my account. And it's the same with Facebook.

So why is Facebook/Twitter so great? There's hardly anything to do on there. If it's just for updates, how is that considered fun? What is there so important people waste their miserable lives on. Get your a** of the chair and do something meaningful with your life. Like write a novel. Or I don't f**king know, go to the gym.

Please explain to me what there is to do with that (Twitter)?

It appeals to peoples vanity to think that the boring minutiae of their daily lives are somehow interesting to a world of people out there.
For others it's just a chance to be a gossipy busybody all day and night.

I don't see much point in it either, except when the government cuts off cell phone and radio contact, and it's the only way to tell the rest of the world what is happening.
So, I'm in favor of keeping Twitter online, even though I hardly use it.
A parrot belonging to a friend of mine recently sent me a friend request on Facebook. And the bird can't even say anything except Hello!
