starting a business ...?
Starting a cleaning business - Help please..?

Hi, i have recently been thinking about starting my own cleaning business. I have made my website http://www.skybluecleaning.co.uk .

I'm after some advise from anyone who may have done this before.

First until the business gets flowing just me and my partner will be doing the work/cleans. What typw of insurance would we need. And any other cover? Amny type of business lisence? Anything else?

Would really appreciate the info - obviously i will be looking into it more indepth and want to do things properly. When we employ people we want them to be self employed - as i am for a cleaning company at the minute. How do i go about this as the employer?

thanks

I can chip in regarding marketing: I would advise listing your business on google places, and all the other local online directories. This will increase your exposure to people who are looking online to hire cleaning companies.

If you offer commercial cleaning then connect with professionals on Linkedin. If you offer residential cleaning, market your business on Facebook. Set up a Facebook account, create a welcome page, launch a pay per click marketing campaign on Facebook and start growing your following.

There's a bunch more you can do, but this is a good start!

Good luck! It's always exciting starting a new business!
