My friend posted a picture of him with his ballot (not saying who he voted for) on Twitter, and I heard somewhere that it was illegal. is that true?

Why would it be illegal? You can walk out of the voting precinct and tweet who you voted for, how does a picture of the ballot make it illegal? It's your prerogative if you wish to share or not.

In certain states, it's illegal to show your completely filled out ballot before it's been turned in to anyone who isn't an official in the process. I'm not familiar with every states law on this, and I don't know if Conn. enforces it. I know that NY does.
