Any way to get free twitter followers?

Ok so all my friends are boasting about how they have 300 or more followers on twitter, I don't have an account on twitter yet because I want atleast 300 or more followers on it (I don't care if the followers are bots or not real) so that way I don't seem like a loner.

Alot of people say to get more twitter followers you should just follow loads of random people and hope they follow back but I want a good 1:4 or more follow ratio because I don't want my newsfeed full of random people posting random bullshit 24/7 e.g

I'v also tried those websites where you put your twitter email and password and they get you some twitter followers but the followers:folloing ratio is horrible (like 20 followers but you're following 150 other people.

I know a girl who did the following: Say you will follow them if they follow you, say following you will get them more followers, etc. She said it always worked.

Personally, I'd recommend posting interesting stuff, although I don't have a twitter myself. I hope it helps.

Search for the active people you think similar to you by any means. Follow them all, some of them will follow you back for sure. Then, who don't follow you back just unfollow them.

have your heard exchanging of truce?? actually it can work, you deal with people that if you'll follow me and then i'll follow you back but it's kinda tiring really. haha LOL why don 't you try looking some sites who can help with things like this. - just try searching there are a lot of them just around the corner.

Don't go following random people because its pretty useless, very few ever follow back.
I suggest http://www.socialclerks.com you can get at least 1:1 ratio or ever better. Its all about getting those credits where you follow someone else or like a facebook page.
For example, set your exchange rate to 15 credits per new follower, every time someone follows you will lose 15 credits. But meanwhile follow only those people who offer 15+ credits themselves, this way you will at least gain a 1:1 follow-followers ratio.
