you could go to a convention, sell them on a stall, or in my opinion deviantart an online site would be a good way to get your art seen

you can start posting them on tumblr or facebook or devianart (i'm also thinking about Flickr) Smile
or if you go to school propose to organize an art exhibition, they'd be a great opportunity!

Do your research and make sure the company is reputable before giving out your personal information!

The following sites allow you to do one, some, or all of the following:
1. Make money selling your ORIGINAL artwork.
2. Upload a high resolution image of your artwork and the company will reproduce the artwork as prints, canvas art, and other items. They will create and ship the items to your customers and pay you when someone buys your items. Some (not all) of these print-on-demand sites allow you to sell your ORIGINAL artwork on their website also.
3. Upload a high resolution of your artwork and make money selling a self-published book of your artwork. The company will create and ship the book to your customers and pay you when someone buys your book.

Check out these sites to see what services they offer. (The star *** indicates BEST sites but that's just my opinion).

2. Buy the book, 2011 Artist's And Graphic Designer's Market by Mary Burzlaff Bostic at Amazon website or check out its website called ArtistsMarketOnline. This book is updated every year to include the current contact and submission information for tons of places, such as greeting card companies, publishers, art fairs, art galleries, and more. It will tell you how and where to sell your artwork.

3. Buy the book, Legal Guide For The Visual Artist by Tad Crawford (fifth edition, published 2010) at Amazon website. This book gives in-depth information on legal issues facing artists.

SELLING AND MARKETING ART:
1. Get an OFFICIAL WEBSITE to display your art. When you are talking to people and the subject of art comes up, they are going to want to see it. Plus, people always surf the internet looking for artists, so by getting a website you increase your chances of someone finding your art. Learn "search engine optimization" - If your website is ranked high in search results, it will more than likely get alot of visitors. Google search the words "search engine optimization" for more information or buy a book on the subject at Amazon website.

Pay for a website at Yahoo Small Business, Artspan, SquareSpace, Pixpa, FolioTwist, or another web hosting company. Google search "web hosting" to find more providers. Electronic Commerce is an extra feature that you can buy from your web host. E-commerce allows you to sell things on your website.

Or get a free website at Google Sites, Weebly, Webs Free Website, Wix Free Website or a blog site such as WordPress Free Blog, Blogger, TypePad while you sell your art using a PayPal account. Go to PayPal website. Click on GET PAID. Select SELL ON YOUR WEBSITE. With this feature, you can add a payment button to your website and accept credit card orders securely.

2. YouTube, Flickr, DeviantArt, Facebook are the most popular websites that gets HIGH volumes of traffic everyday! Open an account for each one and post a few of your BEST artworks on these sites. The goal is to remain active by posting comments to get more exposure! If you post comments on other people's pictures or videos, they will more than likely check out your account as well. Don't Spam! Your comment should be about the person's picture/video! After each comment, type your name, Example: John Doe, Watercolor Artist. Also, use as MANY tags as possible so your photos/videos can be found by alot of people! Use a picture of your BEST ARTWORK as your AVATAR.

For Facebook, create an account that has an art word in it, Example: Go to Facebook and search the words ART, ARTIST, DRAWING, PAINTING, WATERCOLOR, etc..... You will see alot of artists that come up. Visitors come to Facebook and they will generally type in art words to find artists. Also, these art accounts will generally allow you to be friends quickly and post comments, which can be used to your advantage and to gain more exposure.

Some sites don't allow commercialism, so simply post your artwork and type your email or OFFICIAL WEBSITE address under your profile, so people can contact you directly about your artwork.
