I need help coming up with a topic for english?

But I need to be satire about it. It has to be something in today's society. Like ex. how people take things for granted sometimes. Then all the charaters will have to end up meeting somewere somehow, like a party, airpot, etc. The point is I need a topic that is satire about today's world, then I will think about the characters and create a poem. Were doing this b/c the Canterbury Tales. Any Ideas?

I once wrote a poem for school about judging people from the outside, on how they look. It turned out pretty well. So maybe yours could be about how someboyd thought a person was a certain way because of how they dress or how they look, and then ends up talking to them and they turn out nice. I'm a poet, and how I typed this sounds weird, immature,maybe corny, but the way I'm thinking about it, it could be really personal and dramatic. Hope I help?

Distracted by cell/smartphones people don't actually talk to one another? Sitting with a friend 1 for lunch but texting friend2, who is also on twitter with friend 3, .... who may be sitting at a different table ignoring friend 4 who decides to call friend 5 and set up a game....

It goes on and on. Probably happens in your life!
