Republicans: Does Fear Get the Job Done?

Republicans: Does Fear Get the Job Done?
After Obama won last night, Ted Nugent took to Twitter saying that our country was doomed now. Donald Trump talked about how we're no longer a great nation, that democracy is dead. It was the same nonsense conservatives were spouting on about when Obama was running the first time.
Riots in the street. Nuclear warfare. Great depression a thousand fold. All this and more if Obama was elected in 2008. It didn't happen in the last four years, and the closest any of it came to reality was a recession that maintained a 90% employment rate (hardly the Great Depression one fold).

So now that conservative prophecies of doom failed to pass, why would you expect fear mongering to work now? All it's served to do is get in the way of policies that would have brought this country to a prosperous majority. Most conservatives aren't even wealthy but are ignorant enough to believe internet memes of Obama saying he plans to take "All the money." So if you, as a middle-class (majority) Conservative are unaffected by Obama's policies, why spread fear?

I theorize that cults focus on persecution and fear to keep their recruits intact. Persecution like the highest rated News Corporation (Fox News) calling other channels and news sources "the mainstream media." This invokes the idea that the majority follows other information. This, coupled with their claims that the "mainstream media is biased," it gets their followers thinking that the REAL truth only comes from them.

Linda McMahon's campaign was cited a few weeks ago as trailing 6 points behind Murphy. Instead of trying to be more likable, her campaign issues a statement that it was the mainstream media shorthanding Republicans 6 points.

Fox News called Jon Stewart a racist for his Herman Cain impression. Romney and Perry said "Democrats are atheists and are trying to take God out of America." Knowing the majority of the country believe in God. Persecution.

Every politician since Obama was nominated for the 2008 election has spread images of disaster, Godlessness, racial tension, rape, and violence if Obama was elected President. They did it again this term promising the destruction of the country if he were re-elected. It still won't happen.

So does it help you feel better to spread fear? Does the Republican cult benefit from fear mongering? Romney lost last night because of it. I am well to do financially, so you can't claim it was "freeloaders" that voted for him. Does the hate and fear you spread make you or your party any better?

It's to be expected from right-wingers. They must have their way. Remember Eric Cantor? TAX CUTS OR WE BLOCK EVERYTHING. Remember McConnell? WE MUST MAKE OBAMA A ONE TERM PRESIDENT, AT ALL COSTS. These are not direct quotes, but they're accurate paraphrases of what they said.
Oh, and fear mongering is what people resort to when they have no logical, reasoned or coherent way of countering an argument or getting what they want through debate: i.e. Republicans.

What do you call the admitted strategy of the Democrats to paint the republicans as extremists and tell visious ridiculous lies. I have seen a lot of comments from people who were afraid of Republicans. So you probably know better about creating fear than Republicans.

You evidently never listen to what Obama actually says or I think you would understand the remarks made. I have to say people aren't saying things to instill fear. They are saying exactly what they believe to be true because of Obama's own words.

Actually fear does work. Obama won by galvanizing the woman vote by fearmongering that Republicans were going to take away their contraceptives, their rights to abortion or make them have babies after being raped or some kind of nonsense like that.

Republicans played their part by making idiotic rape statements, one after another. For some reason they jsut couldn't keep their mouths shut about someone being raped. I didn't know that there was even an epidemic of abortions due to rape in this country.

Fear only works when Democrats use it!!Like using the so called " War on Women" to violate the Separation of Church and State.
