Soldiers could have arrived in 1 hour. Obama had CONFIRMATION the attack was happening-why did he let those people DIE?

He's a pussy.

We had a drone overhead and fighter jets stationed at relatively close airbases.

The drone knew where the militants we're firing from, our fighter jets could've blown them back to Hell.

What did you expect him to do? Go over there and start killing people not knowing who commited the crime duh? Good way to start WW3. Use a little common sense. The people were already dead. What good is sending troups over?
Edit: Chewy seems to be the only one with a little common sense. These people take on these jobs knowing full well they are putting themselves in jeopardy.

The White House wasn't told that the attack was going on, just like they didn't know the embassy asked for more security weeks before. Unbelievable!

Yeah, what did you want him to do? Protect those who represent us overseas?! Protect American soil overseas?! Give a damn?! C'mon!

Can you actually believe libs are either 1) thinking the President doesn't know about any of this is a true OR a good thing and 2) will do ANYTHING to avoid confrontation?!

NO MORE YEARS!!!

Probably because Obama didn't hear about the attack until after it was too late to send help. It's not like terrorists are dumb enough to leave lines of communication open when they attack a US facility.

It might be a good idea for you to actually read how government works. A president cannot order an attack or military action in another sovereign country without congressional approval. This takes time. Plus for the past 4 years the republican congress has done all it can to undermine what the president is doing. They have gone against everything. They are to blame for those that have suffered, and all to win an election.

That's obvious--he didn't want a 9/11 terrorist attack to occur on his watch. So he lied about it, and he pretended it didn't happen. It was the "Emperor's Terrorist Attack."

Obama's actions show what contempt he has for the American people--he thinks we're all stupid. And that means you, too, Liberal Democrats. He thinks of you as the stupidest of all because you are out there cheering for that liar. Wake up, sheeple!

He will do anything to win, even allow people do die horrible deaths. The man is sick, and we must all remember the dead and vote against Obama. Without Fox News, no one would even know about this heinous event and the treasonous lies Obama has told. I think he should be impeached for this--and especially he should not be re-elected. What a state America is in with a liar in office: so sad. I fear for my children, children's children, and so on.

Obama must go.

Well he did not want a terrorist attack to happen during his campaign so it was just a protest against a video.

How could he not know? One of the men who was in charge of security for U.S. diplomats in Libya says he feared for their safety long before the attack last month on the consulate in Benghazi. Four Americans were killed in the attacks on the Libyan consulate, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. security team leader in Libya: "We needed more, not less" security staff. Wood first set foot in Libya last February to lead an elite, 16-man counterterrorism team. From the moment he arrived, he says he saw chaos. "Shooting instances occurred, many instances involved the local security guard force that we were training," he told CBS News. "Constantly, there were battles going on between militias, criminal activity and that became increasing danger as time went on as well."

A top State Department security official in Libya told a congressional investigator that he had argued unsuccessfully for more security in the weeks before Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed. Department officials instead wanted to “normalize operations and reduce security resources,” Senior State Department officials acknowledged to Congress on Wednesday that they had turned down requests to send more U.S. military personnel to guard diplomatic facilities in Libya shortly before the Sept. 11 attack that killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans. But Charlene Lamb, deputy assistant secretary in charge of diplomatic security, argued that security at the U.S. mission in Benghazi was appropriate for known threats related to the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the United States.

The first email, timed at 4:05 p.m. Washington time - or 10:05 p.m. Benghazi time, 20-30 minutes after the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission allegedly began - carried the subject line "U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Benghazi Under Attack" and the notation "SBU", meaning "Sensitive But Unclassified."The records obtained by Reuters consist of three emails dispatched by the State Department's The text said the State Department's regional security office had reported that the diplomatic mission in Benghazi was "under attack. Embassy in Tripoli reports approximately 20 armed people fired shots; explosions have been heard as well." The message continued: "Ambassador Stevens, who is currently in Benghazi, and four ... personnel are in the compound safe haven. The 17th of February militia is providing security support."

A third email, also marked SBU and sent at 6:07 p.m. Washington time, carried the subject line: "Update 2: Ansar al-Sharia Claims Responsibility for Benghazi Attack." The message reported: "Embassy Tripoli reports the group claimed responsibility on Facebook and Twitter and has called for an attack on Embassy Tripoli." While some information identifying recipients of this message was redacted from copies of the messages obtained by Reuters.

How can Obama and his minions claim ignorance of the situation is beyond imagination. Isn't it obvious the denials were to deflect criticism in order to be reelected.
