how can I modernize pride and prejudice?

I need to pick a very short section of the book and modernize it. An example was the beginning scene where Mrs. Bennet asks Mr. Bennet to go visit Netherfield turned into a friend beginning another friend to come an check out the new spa salon while the other friend teases and denies them. Any ideas?????? I have no idea what to do!

There is a part where they go to a ball, its about who they meet there and the talks they have. Why dont you modernise it to a party and have them talking a nd stuff. Watch the film with kiera knightly in it. It helps. Also you could watch Lost in Austen for inspiration?
