Can you message someone on twitter without following them?
I'm not talking about the @ thing were everyone can see your message to a person. I am talking about privet messages. I don't like to follow people if I wont read their tweets but I wanna message a friend so can I without following them?

You can only send direct messages to people that you're following who are also following you.
