Error trying to connect xbox 360 to Dell monitor via VGA?
im trying to connect my xbox to my dell monitor via vga... it worked but while i was using the xbox i by mistake changed the xbox's resolution to 1920 x something... while the max my monitor handles is 1280 x 1024 .
Now whenever i connect it , it keeps on saying with a black screen. " Cannot display this video mode, Optimium resolution is 1280 x 1024 60ghz.

i tried changing the xbox's resolutions on a TV, but there i dont get the option to change the resolution...

Hello Sahil,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

You may to to reset the display settings by following the steps below.

Start the console > Press and hold the Y button > then pull the right trigger at the same time.

This causes the Xbox Dashboard to reset the display settings to the default settings and then automatically restarts the console.

Make sure you're using controller 1 (Main) and if you're using a wireless controller start it up using the guide button.

Let me know if you need further assistance, I will be glad to help.
